Some time ago, as I was reading a spiritual work, I came across the phrase “the rainbow bridge of prayer.” A picture formed in my mind of a rainbow, one end on earth, the other in the heavens, a beautiful bridge connecting the lower and the higher of this universe, a colorful walkway from one realm to another. Truly prayer does create just such a bridge, and joyously the faithful traverse it..

The title of this message is a quotation from the Biblical book of the Prophet Isaiah: “…all the trees of the fields shall clap their hands”. Isn’t that a poetic and inspiring picture? These wonderous reassurances of the Bible that our Father God desires and designed all His creations to express beauty and joy and special purpose are so needed I these unsettled times. Listen to the call of the Almighty given through Isaiah — the answer to the problems of every person, every nation and on earth today:

I have titled this Advent message “Jesus the Lamb of God.” My Bible lists 244 names, titles and designations of Jesus, the Christ. That is quite an impressive listing of virtues, talents, and attributes for any one individual, but to fill the office of a saviour, a soul would need to exercise every single one of them to be able to communicate and minister to the varied needs and personalities of humankind.
